DMinSite is a technology company whom online catalogs outsource their e-commerce site to. DMinSite's proprietary technology implements years of experience in the catalog sales business by its founder and owner Larry Kavanagh.
After years of dramatically increasing its cusotomers' online sales with its innovative technology, DMinSite came to Transmissions with the task of integrating high end usability and graphic design in order to bring its sites' performance to the next level. The challenge was to integrate sophisticated graphic design and usability, without using graphics, but by only leveraging the power of CSS technology, while at the same time working with the existing DMinSite e-commerce engine.
Carolina Rustica, a large retail store in North Carolina that features wrought iron furniture and an unbelievable array of home furnishing, was the first of several DMinSites's customer to benefit from the new approach. They have had an online store since 2000 and were in need of an update. Everything was updated from the design to the product organization and simplicity of navigation. Our design was implemented as part of the DMinSite e-commerce engine for Carolina Rustica, and has changed peoples idea of their brand, and expanded sales across the country.
Transmissions has applied the same principles, skills, and methodologies to skin software applications such as content management systems Dot Net Nuke, CMS made simple, or Microsoft Sharepoint.
